The Birthday Hunt

A monster named Argos is sent on a scavenger hunt to find clues in order to open a safe which contains his birthday present.

Elmo was his best friend growing up. Wayne had a love for puppetry thanks to shows such as Sesame Street, Between The Lions, and even Nickelodeon’s infamous Mr. Meaty. Kids would always look at him weird on the bus while he listened to his cassette player and mouthed the words with his hand. But it wasn’t until he turned 19 when he became an ensemble performer for Avenue Q, playing Trekkie Monster’s right hand and the New Comer at the end which was also his first solo! Since then he was very eager to do more puppetry but there weren’t any other opportunities. But around 2020 he saved up and bought several puppets and started creating his own opportunities, from short skits on Instagram and TikTok, to having one as a co host in his review show on his YouTube channel Waytotheland and now a brand new short film after a 1 year hiatus from filmmaking, The Birthday Hunt. The film was a one man operation and was quite a learning experience. It was a lot of hard work but in the end, he couldn’t be more excited to do it all over again. He hopes you enjoy it!
