Is It Easy Being Green? : Creating a sustainable/eco-friendly practice in puppetry

Genna Beth Davidson (who prefers to go by GennaBeth) is a puppeteer, actress and violinist. She is currently a candidate for an MFA in Puppetry at the University of Connecticut. After earning a BA in Theater at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008, she spent a decade making theater (more often than not with puppets) in Washington, DC where she helped found Wit’s End Puppets. She wants to green her puppetry practices and focus on how to create from a place of bringing healing to the world instead of contributing to the ongoing crises including that of climate change. GennaBeth loves DC and plans to return to that region to help build healthy communities through the arts and to play with all her nieces and nephews. She is a proud member of the Connecticut Guild of Puppetry and the National Capital Puppetry Guild as well as Puppeteers of America and UNIMA USA. Her nascent website is under construction at www.gennabeth.com and you can reach her at [email protected]
