Gone Fishing

This is a story of a fisherman who has lived his entire life as a fisherman in the Kenyan coast of Mombasa, but in those years a lot has changed, but recently he started blaming his rich neighbour who he accused of damaging the area and destroying the coral reefs and mangroves to build a big house next to the ocean, but he also forgets he has also contributed to the pollution of the same ocean where he goes fishing every day, at the end he loses the only thing that matters to him, his boat due to bad weather. The show is done by One Puppeteers and it’s a table puppetry with a rod puppet.

Fedelis Kyalo is a Puppeteer and a director for TV, Community and theatre, he became fascinated and captivated by the art of puppetry at a very early age, born in Machakos and  growing up in the Coastal part of Kenya, he started his acting career in school as stage actor, then trained as a puppeteer after school, later he Co-founded Krystal Puppet Theatre company and co- authored Tears by the river which has Toured in Belgium, Austria, Poland, Spain, Germany, Indonesia, South Africa, Ecuador, Argentina, Japan and Russia, he has so far produced and performed  Lockdown in the village, Hare and the honey bag, Gee-rafee and the pot, and Bonfire. He is currently the Head Puppeteer Buni media’s XYZ show, Vice President UNIMA Africa Commission, co-Director at Puppets254, a Member of Kenya Institute of Puppet Theatre and Project HAND UP.
