Carol Jo Fisher is a UNH lecturer for Puppetry, Creative Drama, Education through dramatization, Storytelling, Story Theatre, Methods of Teaching Theatre, and Theatre for Young Audiences. Additionally, she directs, designs, and instructs for UNH Theatre and Dance productions, Summer Short Courses for Teachers, The Little Red Wagon and ArtsReach. For the past twenty years, Fisher has directed and taught youth drama throughout New England, and for five years, she was a classroom teacher for third grade and kindergarten. She has also worked with the Boston’s Children’s Theatre and numerous community school drama programs. Fisher developed the UNH Summer Youth Workshop series, a summer touring company for Concord Youth Theatre in Concord, MA, drama programs for gifted students in the Lynn Public School System, and established an extensive community based drama program through Natick Recreational Department. She holds a master’s degree from Arizona State University in theatre education and child drama and a B.A. in education from the University of South Florida.
