Brzezinski & Schap

Brzezinski & Schap is the creative partnership of Caitlin Brzezinski and Libby Schap. Their style features moving shadows screens, innovative light textures, and blurred lines between performer and shadow character. Flying Lessons, their premiere production, toured the US in 2019 and received the Jim Henson Foundation Workshop Grant and Production Grant. Their newest project, Body Stories, is a short film shadow puppet series that explores the question: what’s it like to be in your body? The series is based on interviews with four people: Lisa, Sayeh, Hannah, and Rashaun. Each installment brings us into a surreal world of projected images. Discoveries are made about these unique body relationships, as the storyteller’s body becomes a living shadow screen.
